Established in 1996, Failaka Advisors was the first research and advisory firm to monitor advances in the field of Islamic investment funds. Believing that investors needed increased disclosure and better reporting on this fast-growing sector, Failaka began maintaining a comprehensive record of equity and balanced funds, and presently keeps up-to-date, objective, and reliable data on the sector.

Until 2008—when the Failaka Fund Reports became available online, Failaka's cornerstone product was the annual Failaka Islamic Fund Report. Published since 1996, the Report was the first publication to detail performance results for Islamic equity funds. Subscribers include fund managers, rating agencies, and universities.

Failaka also hosts the annual Failaka Islamic Fund Awards each spring in Dubai, recognizing the best performing funds, fund family, and managers. Failaka's awards event brings great media attention to the fast-growing Islamic-focused investment community and to the financial institutions involved in the industry.

This year, Failaka also debut its Shariah Report, a comprehensive guide to over 250 Shariah scholars and their boards.
